In August 2023, we completed a temperature monitoring system for Company L's 154 kV substation and extra-high-voltage cables.

The buried cable route follows the industrial complex roads from the KEPCO substation. Each of the A, B and C phases is monitored separately.

At the 154 kV substation, the system covers all cable trays along high-voltage trenches and the trenches beneath electrical panels. Outdoor trench temperatures are monitored together with ambient temperatures to assess rises relative to the surrounding conditions.

Temperature data is available to all relevant departments, including the equipment room, maintenance building, relay protection team and DCS operators.
