In June 2017, we completed a coal conveyor monitoring system at S Thermal Power Station. The system monitors both sides of 20 km of coal conveyors running from the unloading area to the pulverizer.

The sensing cable is installed beneath the conveyor roller area, below the tray to protect it during conveyor repair and replacement. A messenger wire supports the installation so that the optical cable is not subjected to tension.

Where conveyors have covers, the ceiling area is also monitored for fire detection.
