Woori System completed the supply and installation of a DTS temperature monitoring system (DMS) for Units 7 and 8 at OO Power Generation Headquarters on June 30, 2014.

The system automatically monitors power facilities requiring temperature surveillance, including 345 kV cables in underground utility tunnels and SWGR power cable trays (22.9 kV and 480 kV, as stated in the original article). A total of 13.7 km of dedicated fiber optic sensing cable was installed.

For part of the installation, the previous S-shaped cable routing was replaced with parallel routing to improve monitoring efficiency and sensitivity to temperatures at the site.

Main monitoring screen: equipment can be monitored in logical groups or together in an overall view. Underground utility tunnel screen: the display reflects the actual site layout. Cable tray screen: tray names and distances identify the corresponding field locations.
