We completed a busduct temperature monitoring system at Company L's IDC over five months, from August to December 2021. The large data center hosts domestic portal companies including Naver and Kakao, as well as Amazon and Google.

The system uses 15 km of fiber optic sensing cable to monitor the entire busduct route from the receiving electrical room through the UPS room to the server rooms. Measurements are taken at one-meter intervals, with feeders and joints identified separately.

Power measurements are collected to generate automatic reports comparing load with temperature and feeder temperatures with joint temperatures. Reports can be exported to Excel.

Because of the complex UPS arrangement, the monitoring screens were implemented in full 3D to reflect the actual site. Functions include automatic SMS alarm notifications, load acquisition, load-versus-temperature reports, feeder-versus-joint reports and full 3D monitoring.
