Beginning in October 2022, we installed Company L's high-voltage cable temperature monitoring system in three stages. A fourth stage was underway at the time of the original article.

The system monitors all 22 kV and 6.6 kV cables connecting the 154 kV receiving substation to the substations in individual factory buildings. The project began with existing cables and extends to all newly built factories.

DTS equipment and the database server are installed in the electrical room, with clients in the utility operators' room. Temperature and alarm data are integrated with the company's plant-wide SCADA/DCS.

The design allows further expansion whenever new factory distribution rooms are constructed. Functions include utility tunnel power cable monitoring, 3D displays and CCTV integration for checking field conditions.
