In September 2022, we completed a fiber optic repeater and fire monitoring system connected to the R-type fire alarm receiver at O Power Station. Monitored facilities include MCC rooms, cable rooms and utility tunnels.

Fire monitoring optical cables were installed in accordance with the applicable installation specifications. A DTS repeater for the R-type receiver uses two optical channels to monitor Unit 1 and Unit 2 separately.

The repeater connects over Ethernet to a database server, allowing measured temperatures to be displayed graphically at one-meter intervals, 24 hours a day.

Clients in both the disaster prevention room and the control room can view temperature data. The installation includes the DTS repeater, sensing cables, R-type receiver integration, the receiver's connection to the fire service, a temperature database server and monitoring clients.
