Company L installed a phase-by-phase temperature monitoring system for 154 kV power cables with integrated optical fibers, running from KEPCO's switching station in the Yeosu industrial complex to the factory receiving substation.

The route consists of two circuits. Optical fibers for phases A, B and C were connected to the DTS system to measure temperatures at one-meter intervals.

Approach optical cables from the DTS equipment were spliced to fibers in the already installed power cables, enabling phase-by-phase measurement without replacing the power cables.

Because the route follows the road, the monitoring display clearly distinguishes temperatures in above-ground sections, manholes and buried sections.
